Some days boarding school doesn't sound like that bad of an option.

Dh went to a boarding school in Kentucky and he loved it. We have gone to visit a few times. The Dean of boys was at our wedding because dh thought of him as a dad. We still keep in close contact with his family. Rex has talked about sending the kids there if they want in hs but I don't think I could do it. We have also talked about going there to teach and give back once he retires from the Navy.

Oh I totally forgot my nephew was a dean at a boarding school in Hawaii for two years.

My girls liked boarding school, they has some very nice oppertunies while there that they wouldn't have had at a "normal" school, and like i said before they made some wonderful contacts that could help them a lot in the future. The boarding school was only 2 towns away but its a very nice one, Kents Hill people from all over the world send their kids there. I think tuition was 30K a yr as I recall, but it was worth it.

They were close to our house, but I wasn't I was in boston while they were away at boarding school its the reason i sent them. I went to med school in boston, thinking i would be home every day HA!!! I made it home once the first semester. Dan was living at home at the time, and Mike was living with me in boston..so dan was at least there if they needed him.
