Pre new years resolution?

I didn't really make a resolution, but I always feel like I try to after New Years "have to lose weight". After our week of over indulging in food and drink in Mexico and I didn't really gain because we were so active I think, but I just felt 'blah'... I knew we didn't eat healthy at all. Last week I started counting points again. I can't afford to go back to Weight Watchers, but I think the counting philosophy is easy to do, just hard to keep up the motivation without going to meetings, for me at least.

Anyways, our work is doing a challenge to maintain, not gain, oer the holidays. First weigh in will be before Thanksgiing and I think the last one is the week after new years. The goal is to stay within 2 pounds of your starting weight. Last nyear they did it and 92% of people didn't gain and about 60% lost. Its on your honor kind of thing. You submit your weights to the leader of the wellness program and she'll track it. It won't get shared with anyone, but at least it is some accountability. I don't know if there are prizes this year, last year they gave everyone a water bottle or something.

But so far counting points on my own I am down just over 5 lbs

I'm feeling motivated. I hope it continues.

Re: Pre new years resolution?

Well originally i was gonna make a weight resolution, but since stopping the cymbalta the weight is falling off, so my resolution is going to be...to keep in touch with family more often.

Re: Pre new years resolution?

I dont reallymake resolutions, but usually after 6 weeks of holiday season being really unhealthy I feel bad enough about myself to start trying. With the work program I thought it might help kickstart that and avoid the unhealthy holiday binging.
